FOCUS: My Word for 2025 ✨
What’s on your horizon for 2025? I see BIG THINGS ahead! 🚀
This year, my word is FOCUS.
For five years, my word was WHOLEHEARTEDLY—because that’s how long it took me to finally let go of my deep-seated need to please people.
My entire life, I allowed my desires to fit into whatever space was left after I had shown up for everyone else. If there was time, energy, or money left, I’d give a tiny bit to myself.
I had never truly set boundaries in the pursuit of my own dreams. 😳
These patterns started in toddlerhood when I was a cute little performer, and they followed me into being a good student, a dedicated athlete, and a friendly face that people liked.
After all, everyone loves a pretty, friendly girl, right? 🙃
Breaking Free from Performance Mode 🛑🎭
Letting go of these behaviors was like amputating a limb—EXCRUCIATING.
What if nobody liked the thoughtful, serious woman I actually am?
What if my contemplative, philosophical self was too weird and awkward?
Did I have the courage to be disliked? 🤔
Living WHOLEHEARTEDLY meant that if I couldn’t run with my arms wide open toward something, I would say NO. ❌
For four years, I failed miserably. I kept performing, proving myself, seeking approval.
But then, something shifted. I started saying:
💡 “They can be wrong about me.” 💡
Someone at the gym recently called me the “anti-clique girl,” and I took that as the best compliment ever.
That’s when I knew—I had finally attained WHOLEHEARTEDNESS. 🏆
Seeking CLARITY 🔎
After that, I spent two years with the word CLARITY—and wow, did I struggle with this one!
I had to learn to rein in my ADHD-fueled love for shiny new ideas.
My brain thrives on novelty, making everything feel possible but nothing feel achievable. 😵💫
I won’t lie—I haven’t mastered CLARITY yet. And honestly? I’m exhausted from trying. 😮💨
Why FOCUS in 2025? 🎯
This year, I need a FORCING FUNCTION—something to keep me from spinning out in a million directions.
That’s why I chose FOCUS. 💪
Staying focused forces me to have clarity.
To stay focused, I need a clear path.
So, I defined my values and developed my personal philosophy:
🔬 Through curiosity and the scientific method, I identify the root problem in my personal, physical, and professional life—and seek to solve it. What I learn, I teach to others.
This led me to four core principles:
✅ Personal development
✅ Be a product of the product I offer
✅ Pursue holistic wellness
✅ Share the good news with others
