When the Soul is Tired: Leadership, Burnout & the Sacred Pause 🧠💫

I never know I’m tired until I’m beyond tired.
And that has caused me a few problems.

Not the kind of tired where your body aches and even blinking feels like work—though I’ve been there, too.

I mean soul tired.
🧠 Mind exhausted.
⚡ Brain misfiring.
😶 Personality… altered.
huh… wha… umm… unh…

And I never know it until—
IT happens.

What’s “IT,” You Ask? 💥

It’s different every time.
But this time, it started with my heart. ❤️

I was just sitting at my desk—thinking, writing, planning, creating—when I noticed the pounding.
No fear.
No excitement.
Not even stress.

Just...
💥 BOOM-BOOM. BOOM-BOOM. BOOM-BOOM.
Like I’d just finished running for my life.

I took deep breaths.
I stretched. I walked. I hydrated. I stood in the crisp Michigan air.
💨 Still, it pounded.

And I had things to do:
🎥 Videos to film
👩‍💼 Team to prepare
📝 Content to deliver

But my body wasn’t asking anymore.
It was demanding.

So I lay down.
And I let go.

The Cost of a High-Performance Life

Later, I tried to explain it to my husband:
"Something happened with my heart today…”

It sounded dramatic, but it wasn’t.
He knows I don’t exaggerate.

And then it hit me.

This happened before.

And every time, it’s been soul exhaustion.

Mindfulness for High Achievers 🧘‍♀️

This is what happens when you vibe high constantly.
You forget you’re still human.
You forget that leadership energy must be managed—not endlessly mined.

If you don’t slow down, your body will do it for you. 🛑

I remember running track as a teen—flying so fast that my legs couldn’t keep up with my momentum.
That moment between speed and collapse? That’s where I was.

Learning to Slow Down and Recharge 🌿

This morning, I watched the sunrise by the pool. ☕🌅
I read an actual, physical magazine.
I didn’t run. I didn’t lift. I didn’t produce anything.

Steve made breakfast. 🥞
I’m heading out on the boat. 🚤
My grandie, Mavy still loves his JuJu.

It’s going to be a good day.
Because I’m choosing to listen.

Signs of burnout and stress are real.
Mindfulness for high achievers isn’t optional—it’s a leadership strategy.
Work-life balance for entrepreneurs isn’t a luxury—it’s survival.

This Is Your Permission Slip 📝

If you want to keep performing at a high level,
If you want your business, your leadership, your life to sustain
You have to know when to breathe.
When to let go.
When to listen.

Because your soul knows when it’s tired.
And if you don’t listen?

💥 Your body will make sure you do.
