The Practice of Gratitude in Everyday Life
The Day of Gratitude
Thank you, Universe, for the self-trust to say “yes” to things that feel like me, and “no” to the things that belong to other people’s journeys.
I am an educator at heart.
Helping others is my life’s mission.
But I am also deeply connected to placing my own oxygen mask first.
Today is one of those days.
Getting Quiet
No matter where I am, Sunday is for getting quiet with my Creator.
Offering gratitude and grace to the universe for its everlasting abundance.
Becoming one with nature.
I am grateful.
Moments like this are part of how we reconnect to ourselves, and to what matters most—something that sits at the heart of what personal leadership really means in everyday life.
The People
Thank you for the people I’ve met this week.
The incredible stories they’ve shared.
The total variation in personalities and perspectives.
People are amazing.
The Details
Thank you to the service industry for taking care of the details.
Oat milk for my coffee.
The perfectly white beach towel with the pocket that fits over my chair.
Service professionals are incredible.
The Earth
Thank you for the sun.
The water.
The breeze.
The clean sand.
My sunglasses that allow me to enjoy it all.
The earth is boundless.
My People
Thank you for my people at home keeping the hearth and filling in the details that I may have forgotten.
Sharing responsibilities is magical.
Freedom
Thank you for an income that allows me to spread my wings.
Expand my mind.
Travel.
Financial wellness is freedom.
And when your life begins to open in these ways, it often comes from doing the deeper work of alignment—personally, physically, and professionally—which is explored inside Julie’s Season of Self program.
The Gifts Within
Thank you for courage.
Thank you for the ability to listen.
Thank you for a creative mind.
Thank you for a big vocabulary.
Thank you for the willingness to share what I know and learn what I don’t.
Authenticity is a discipline.
And today is a day to reconnect with how very small I am in the universe—and how everything is working in my favor if I choose to acknowledge it.
Blessings to all.
I love you.
